Set an Elegant Thanksgiving Table and Save Money

This is the perfect week to get your Thanksgiving day decor purchased with these great sales and deals.

We made it through Halloween and now we are faced with Thanksgiving in just under three weeks. For many, this is a time when out of town guests and friends and family come over.

It is now the time to stop procrastinating and get ready. The best selection to dress your holiday table is happening right now. There are also several sales and deals out there to help with the cost. Those who wait until just before the holiday may get the lowest prices of the season but they also may not get the selection or the desired number of items. This is the perfect week to get the decorations your Thanksgiving celebration needs.

Crate And Barrel has some really nice table linens for the fall season on sale right now. They are up to 35 percent off depending on what you choose. These are not the traditional solid colored tablecloths, many are floral in browns, oranges and even some light blues. These add a modern twist to the traditional while still being dressy and elegant. if you want the traditional linen solids, they have these as well, but the patterned ones this year are sure to give compliments. Adding that they are on sale for around $50 and up depending on the size table you have makes them even better. If you want the wow, with a lower price tag, consider using the solid color linens with some striking napkin holders. These start around $2 each at the store. Table centerpieces, candles, rugs and kitchen items are all available at Crate And Barrel. This is a store you will have to just walk through if you are expecting guests for Thanksgiving. Many items are on sale throughout the store and everything is beautiful and classical so they can be used for many years to come.

Kirkland's has a variety of home decorating items at reasonable prices, often lower than shoppers will find at large chain stores. The nice thing about this store is that the items frequently look more unique than those from larger stores, but at similar or lower prices. They have a lot of wall mirrors, frames, and many home decor items for the season. I was surprised at their prices when I first went in to the store and saw a beautiful huge mirror similar to one I had seen elsewhere but this one was under $100 instead of over $200 as I expected. Shoppers can print a coupon here for $5 off of their purchase of $25 or more through November 14. There is also a $25 off of a purchase of $75 coupon here that is valid through December 14.

While not a bargain, if you are looking for very detailed Thanksgiving platters, linens and serving pieces, has them. Platters are around $80 and linens can be as high as $200. But, they are indeed beautiful and also have a classical design that can be used year after year. If you would like to start a tradition for your Thanksgiving table, Pottery Barn should be on your list of stores to stop at. They also have floral arrangements, pillows and other decorative items for fall that are sure to turn heads.

has a large variety of table linens at more economical prices. These table clothes start around $15 for holiday themed ones. They also carry napkin rings, chair covers and home decor items to get that quick newly decorated look in your home. This is the most cost effective store if you are looking to add window treatments, chair cushions, new bedding and other decorator type projects and if you do not want to shop at the big chain stores like Target and Walmart for your home decor. They had a coupon in the newspaper on Sunday and if you sign up at the their website, they will email you savings discounts. be sure to keep them when you get them. The store does honor expired coupons and I have been permitted to use multiple coupons in one check out session on several occasions.

has some of their Thanksgiving and fall Spode items on sale. I did see some pumpkin serving items marked down at the store in their holiday section. They also carry the brown Spode china if you really want to impress your guests. But, simply adding one or 2 bright orange nice pieces to a solid color setting will certainly make your table beautiful and cost around $50. Some of these could also serve a double purpose and make it so you do not need a table centerpiece. Consider this option instead of a live floral arrangement for the same amount of money. The china serve ware will last for years to come and will add so much detail to your holiday table.

Dressing an elegant table can be done on a budget. Watch for sales and use coupons when and where yiou can. Small savings add up big.
