TopJob Staffing to Hold Job Fair in Roswell Monday, Tuesday

If you're looking for steady or extra work, stop by the local job fair in historic Roswell, Sept. 17-18.

TopJob Staffing owners Michael Fabian and Scott Harb are looking for a few good men and women in need of a job.

Focusing solely on the hospitality industry, TopJob employs banquet servers and bartenders to staff businesses and events throughout the metro-Atlanta area, including the JW Marriott, Atlanta Athletic Club, ZOO Atlanta and Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, just to name a few.

Hoping to find great candidates from its home turf in the North Fulton area, the company will host a job fair next week, Monday, Sept. 17 through Tuesday Sept. 18.

"We will be meeting all participants, explaining what we do in detail, having those interested fill out our application and then scheduling them for one of our upcoming training classes," Fabian told Roswell Patch. "We're looking for some quality folks.”

All potential new staff members must be willing to complete TopJob's mandatory three-day training seminar, which does not incur a charge, but also goes unpaid. Staff who fully complete training must purchase their own tuxedo uniform at a cost between $85-$125. Once a uniform has been purchased and training completed, TopJob will place new staff at a job the following Saturday.

Currently finishing its 11 year, TopJob Staffing has been in historic Roswell for six years now.

"We opened our doors four weeks after 9/11 and have been on the roller coaster of a lifetime as small business owners ever since," said Fabian.

Though the business operates year-round, they do have two distinct busy seasons: mid-September to mid-December and mid-March to mid-June. Employees are able to set their own schedule, working one day or five days a week. While based on the level of an employee's performance, the work is there for those who want to work 30-40 hours per week, said Fabian.

All staff must be 18 years of age, but some current TopJob Staff are in their 50s and 60s, "so it is truly a job for everyone," he added.

Employees are paid weekly, ranging from $9 to $15 an hour.

"We are always looking for good people," Fabian said.

Following the job fair, Sept. 17-18, the next two training classes are:

  • Sept. 25, 26 and 28 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) - 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Oct. 2, 3 and 5 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) - 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

The job fair will be held, Monday and Tuesday, Sept 17-18, at the TopJob Staffing offices, 55 Park Square Court, Suite 105 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. each day. For more information, visit the website or call 678-205-8500.
