Triple Board-Certified Cardiologist Joins Roswell Practice

Suresh Ramamurthy, M.D., FACC began working with Piedmont Physicians Group Monday, July 23.

Piedmont Heart Institute welcomes triple board-certified cardiologist Suresh Ramamurthy, M.D., FACC to the Roswell practice.

Ramamurthy, who has been practicing for three years, is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear cardiology. He has done extensive research and has given numerous presentations at national meetings conducted by American College of Cardiology and American Society of Nuclear Medicine.

“Ischemic heart disease, heart failure and peripheral vascular disease are areas of special interest to Dr. Ramamurthy,” said Sidney Kirschner, president and chief executive officer of Piedmont Heart Institute. “Our patients living in Roswell and the surrounding communities will benefit not only from his expertise and availability but from Dr. Ramamurthy’s belief in educating his patients about their health as well.”

Ramamurthy earned his medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College in Tamilnadu, India. He completed his residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee before finishing his cardiology fellowship at Aurora Sinai Medical Center and St. Luke's Medical Center, also in Milwaukee.

Ramamurthy is available at to see new and existing patients Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The practice accepts most major insurance plans.
