'Veg' Out at The Counter

The Counter celebrates World Vegetarian Day with a complimentary mini veggie burger with any purchase.

When mom said “eat your vegetables,” she probably didn't have burgers in mind. But to kick off Vegetarian Awareness month, The Counter Custom Built Burgers is offering complimentary mini veggie burgers tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 1 - also known as, World Vegetarian Day.

To celebrated the day, - which is known for its premium burgers and build-your-own burger menu with over 300,000 different possible combinations - will offer a mini veggie burger with provolone, red pepper and Dijon balsamic dressing to all guests on the house with any regular burger purchase.

“The Counter’s veggie burger receives rave reviews from both vegetarians and carnivores alike,” said The Counter Executive Chef Marc Boussarie. “World Vegetarian Day and our Veg Out program gives everyone the opportunity to try our veggie burger and taste for themselves why it is so popular.”

Selected as one of the best veggie burgers by The Washington Post and Chicago Tribune, The Counter’s hand-formed veggie patty is composed of brown rice, spinach, panko bread crumbs, mushrooms, onions, corn, black beans, zucchini, red bell peppers and carrots. The patty is made from scratch in-house and is vegan-friendly as all non-animal ingredients are cooked and stored separately.
