Jeff Mango, president of the Georgia/Alabama Region for Verizon Wireless will be the keynote speaker at the 7:30 a.m. breakfast event at off Windward Parkway.
Mango oversees more than 1,600 employees as well as the sales and operations, marketing, distribution, customer service and financial results for the two-state area. The Georgia/Alabama Region is headquartered here and is part of the company's South Area, also headquartered here.
Mango began his career in the wireless industry in 1994 as a retail sales representative. Since then he has held a variety of positions in sales management including Regional Director at Bell Atlantic in Philadelphia. When Verizon Wireless was formed in 2000, Mango was named the director of Retail Sales for the Georgia/Alabama Region, where he oversaw the sales and operations for the two states. After holing postios with the New York Metro Region and the Mountain Region, he returned to Georgia as the president.
Frazier & Deeter plans some special surprises for those who attend, as the accounting firm has been sponsoring E&E for three years.
Bring any old wireless phones, batteries and accessories to the breakfast, which will serve as a collection point for HopeLine, the Verizon Wireless program that turns unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence.
