Viewfinder: Lucky's Burgers & Brew Anniversary, Eating Challenge

See what we caught in the viewfinder this week!

Lucky's Burgers & Brew held a successful first anniversary party on Sunday, Aug. 7, complete with a gut-busting eating challenge.

The event included special menu additions, a benefit doggy wash and, of course, an eating contest of enormous proportions.

Winner of the contest, Kelly Stevens of the B 98.5 morning show, didn't clean his plate, but he ate the most of the seven pound Grim Reaper burger and chili cheese tater tot challenge within the one hour time limit. The competition was close, but Stevens closest competitor, Paul Harrington, was disqualified for getting sick prior to the post-contest five minute wait time.

Stevens won $100 cash, a $250 Lucky's gift card, a t-shirt and his name will be placed on Lucky's Top Dog Wall.

According to Meg Reggie, Lucky's spokeswoman, the goes on the regular menu this week and anyone who can eat the entire thing, with the Chili Cheese Tots, gets the $40 dish for free and gets their name on the Top Dog Wall. Chef Ted Lescher asks guests who want to take on the Grim Reaper to please give him 24-hours notice to have the specially-made bun ready.
