YouFit Health Club Coming to Roswell

Roswell's getting a new fitness club, one that doesn't require memberships and promises not to descend "pushy salespeople" on patrons. 

YouFit Health Club is expected to open later this week in the Festival Village Plaza, 10930 Crabapple Road. 

The location will the 59th for the Florida-based chain, which also has fitness centers in Buford, Douglasville, Kennesaw, Norcross and Suwanee. 

Here's more about the YouFit concept on the Roswell Patch announcement from founder/president Rick Berks: 

“We’re geared to the average person who just wants to stay in shape, rather than bodybuilders or ‘gym rats.' We don’t have long-term contracts -- you pay month-to-month.

“We’re building clubs for people who don’t want to deal with the trauma and drama of the usual health club."
