2010 Trek 1.5 58cm road bicycle with GREAT upgrades, fresh Boyd wheels

So, I recently got myself a Madone 5.2, and to cover some of the cost I'm parting ways with my first road bicycle -- a 9-speed 2010 Trek 1.5 compact (aka double) in beautiful white (with some black accents) and size 58cm. It's a sad moment in some ways for me, but I know that it could find the right home with someone who's been into cycling for a while or just starting out. This is the deal you've been looking for, because seriously, it's nearly the Millennium Falcon of road bikes.

"She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself."

So, basically, after putting about 1,250 miles on the bike with its stock parts, I contemplated some of the fallacies of the components. 

- The stock Bontrager wheels sucked, and were heavy. A slight crash (which caused ZERO structural damage to the bike's durable aluminum frame) had rendered them untrue anyways. So, I purchased a slick pair of white Boyd Vitesse 30mm wheels that weigh 1500g total. The wheels are so crisp and naturally roll forever. Seriously, I will miss the wheels the most out of any part of this bike, especially since Boyd no longer makes them in white anymore.

- Next, I replaced the stock FSA Vero crank with a Shimano 105 FC-5700 crankset. This would be considered a controversial and considered a nonessential upgrade, but let me tell you what, it made a huge difference in the quality of the ride. I don't care if you're stomping down on the pedals up a huge mountain or just rolling a smooth cadence, it's very solid.

- Saddle; got a Specialized saddle which is firm, any may not work for everyone. I think new riders should go check out bike saddles at a store and choose what's best for them. This is critical. The Romin is great. I may be able to find the stock Bontrager one.

- Tires, went with Continential Gatorskins. Google these babies. They are unbelievably reliable and only have about 400 miles on them, on paved non-car ridden flat pathways. You could easily ride these tires out for another thousand or two miles without a flat.

Durability: This Trek has wheels that have less than 400 miles on them and roll perfect, with maybe a knick here and there from a small rock that flared up or something. The frame is solid and still looks new after a recent clean. All of the Tiagra components are clean, the cassette shines, and it's all greased and lubed. New chain. It passed a tune-up at Alpha Bikes two weeks ago with flying colors and could easily last for many, many years. BUT, here's the BUT, it was in a slight accident before. It got laid down, basically, after a car cut me off. But there's no frame damage, and I got new wheels after the accident anyways. So, the only evidence of a crash would be a scuff here or there and on the shifters (which you can see on the pics). There are some scuffs on the opposite side of the crankset (these are from shifting, I was using a different crank during the crash), and various scuffs or marks here and there. I'm willing to completely let any prospective buyer look at the bike ad naseum to make sure it's acceptable quality, which I TRULY believe anyone would agree that it's in great condition overall.

In many ways, this is a sensational ride and beyond above average for the beginner. It's basically a Trek 2.# series or better with all of these upgrades. This bike stuns in all white, and I've received numerous compliments on it during my outings. IMPORTANT - No matter what, please make sure you know proper road bike fitting or get fitted on this bike for the best ride. I cannot provide this service.
