Hidden Treasure in Roswell

Hidden treasures in Roswell. Are you aware that there is a beautiful waterfall in Roswell? Steven Betolatti, helps you explore the beauty that abounds in Roswell.

Recently, my husband, a Roswell realtor, wanted pictures of the Roswell area to complement a brochure for a home for sale in Roswell. He was informed of the "waterfalls." He has just completed the interior photos for this home and was dressed in a shirt, tie and of course, dress shoes.

He figured he may as well go take photos of the waterfall right then. Well, he could not seem to find the falls so he called me and asked for the address.

"Hmmm, I cannot find it, but I do have GPS coordinates," he said.

So I proceeded to give him these coordinates which led him to the old mill. He found the mill and the covered foot bridge to be picturesque so: snap, snap, snap." Great pics there.

"Where is this waterfall?" he questioned, as he hiked in the 95 degree weather.

About a half mile into his hike, he called and said that he had no idea where he was, but I better have calamine lotion since he was hiking through some very wooded paths.

Along came two women hikers, backpacks in tow, tank tops, shorts and bandanas around their foreheads to soak up the sweat.

"Excuse me, " Steve said. They began hiking faster...and faster...

Finally Steve screamed, "Hey, do you know where the waterfalls may be?"

At first they stood quietly, not sure if they should be scared or simply confused.

Finally, they answered, "No waterfalls around here, try North Carolina!"

It finally came upon Steve that there he stood wearing professional attire in a hiking trail (now about a mile in) carrying a camera and a tripod. He could still get cell reception, so he called and shared his experience. He finally approached a park worker and asked her about the falls. But she too told Steve that no waterfalls were located there.

As Steve pondered as to whether he should give up, he reminded himself that he is not a quitter and this seller wanted those pictures so he continued on his hike determined to find the "waterfalls." As he realized that he was probably looking very strange and quite out of place, he saw a "vision."

I was on the phone with him when he cheered, "I found the falls!" It was quite an hilarious moment. The things we do in the name of real estate!

However, the most ironic part is that since that day, we have spoken to lifetime residents who are unaware of the falls in Roswell.

Steve took some beautiful photos and is in the process of building a beautiful website for Roswell. In the meantime, you can see some of the photos here on my Facebook page.
