One Man Shot Dead at West End Tattoo Shop - Cascade Patch

The West End Mall area is dealing with another tragic shooting today, as news spreads of a deadly shooting that killed 1 person and left another wounded on Wednesday evening at Tattoo & Piercing.

Anton Johnson, 39 was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived.  The name of the other victim that was transported to Grady has not been released. He is said to be in his 20's. Visit Cascade Patch for more on this story. 

- Smyrna-Vinings Patch

Two Cobb County men were indicted by a federal grand jury for child pornography charges stemming from their ordering and receiving videos containing child pornography from a foreign company, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. One of the offenders was a school bus driver, and the other one was a college instructor.

Jerry Michael Lanier, 51, of Smyrna, is charged with one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. Lanier was working as a music instructor at the University of West Georgia. Visit Smyrna-Vinings Patch for more on this story. 

Driver Charged in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Lawrenceville Highway - Lawrenceville Patch

Gwinnett County Police say the driver involved in the fatal pedestrian accident on Lawrenceville Highway Wednesday morning has now been charged.

In a release, GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith said Sharon Mitchell-Golden, 49, of Stone Mountain, turned herself in to police Thursday. Mitchell-Golden has been charged with second degree vehicular homicide, a misdemeanor, and driving more than 300 feet in the center turn lane. Visit Lawrenceville Patch for more on this story.
