Apple Museum to 'Pop-Up' in Roswell Soon

Techies and history buffs are drooling over Apples - of the electronic variety. A special Apple Pop-Up Museum is headed to Roswell for one weekend only in April and the virtual world is buzzing with excitement.

According to information from organizers, the museum will exhibit in conjunction with the Vintage Computer Festival Southeast 1.0, at the former CompUSA store at Kings Market Shopping Center in Roswell. They hope it will tell "the story of how a small start-up company founded in a garage by two young friends, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, became the leading consumer electronics and personal computer company in the world...forever changing how we interact with others and the world around us."

The 6,000-square-foot exhibit will feature a wide range of Apple technology, from the company’s very first product - the Apple I personal computer - to its most recent electronic inventions. The exhibit, part of a local collection, features other rare Apple technology, including a Xerox Alto, an original Apple II and a Lisa, the first commercial computer with a GUI (graphical user interface), according to a press release.

Festival tickets are $10 per adult, with a two day pass for $15. Children ages 17 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
