Facebook Profile Initiates Lawsuit Filed By Middle School Student

The American Bar Association Journal is reporting that Roswell lawyer, Natalie Woodward, has been hired to represent a Cobb County student who claims defamation via an allegedly fake Facebook profile.

Alexandria Boston, who attends  in Cobb County, has filed a lawsuit against two classmates she believes created a fake Facebook page in her name.

The libel suit contends Boston is made to look fat, suggests she uses drugs and has left obscene and racists posts on other profiles, according to the Associated Press.  

Woodward, whose firm just recently moved onto Canton Street, told the Daily Report that it wasn't until the case of cyberbulling starting receiving more media attention that Facebook actually took down the allegedly fake profile.

According to the ABA Journal, police have said that the incident did not constitute a crime and Palmer school officials have said the page was not created on school computers.
