Family of Usher's Ex-Stepson Asks for Prayers

Kyle Glover remains in critical condition.

The family of Kyle Glover, the youth who was injured in a collision Friday on Lake Lanier, has asked for prayers for the child, according to CNN.com.

"We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," Glover's family said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday.

The youth's mother is Tameka Foster Raymond, the ex-wife of entertainment superstar Usher. His father is Ryan Glover, a former executive with Turner Broadcasting and now an executive with Bounce TV, a network that caters to African-Americans.

Jeffrey S. Hubbard, said to be a family friend, has been identified as the man who was driving a personal watercraft that ran into Glover and the girl Friday afternoon. The youths were in an inner tube being pulled by a pontoon boat. No charges have been filed in the case, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Usher, a Johns Creek resident, is reported to be very upset about the tragedy.

"Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened," read a report in US magazine.
