More Rain Possible This Week, Sunny Skies by Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend's heavy rain will move out of Roswell, making way for mostly sunny skies by the weekend.

After yet another weekend filled with flood warnings and event cancellations throughout the metro area, Roswell is in for some sunny skies early this week and this Memorial Day weekend, though rain will be likely on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Big Creek remains above flood stage, affecting some yards in North Fulton and Forsyth counties. The creek was expected to fall below flood stage by early Tuesday. The Big Creek Greenway is closed due to flooding.

A chance of scattered strong showers and thunderstorms continues Monday, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 87, according to the National Weather Service's Roswell forecast.
