See our choices for where you should try to snag a table in some cozy, candlelit corner.

OK, boys and girls ... it's almost time to pick a great place for a memorable, romantic dinner with the one you love! We know that y'all have a lot going on in your lives, but just because you don't have enough hours in the day to accomplish you needed to have done, say, 3 or 4 days ago, doesn't mean that all is lost.

It does, however, mean that we here at Roswell Patch HQ have nothing better to do than research where you and your valentine should go on Monday.

So, sit back, relax, and pick one of these fine dining establishments where you and your sweetie can spend an evening gazing into each other's eyes ... before you have to hurry home before the babysitter's curfew. Here goes:

Why you should go: Because you love center cut portions of premium, grain-fed Midwestern beef served in an elegant-yet-comfortable lakeside cabin setting complete with a romantic fireplace, a nice selection of wines, a dessert menu featuring ganache cake served with shot glasses filled with cold milk ... oh, yeah -- and each other.

70 W. Crossville Rd.; 770-993-1156

Payments accepted: MasterCard, Discover, Visa, Cash, Diner's Club, American Express

Why you should go:  So your friends will quit making fun of you behind your back because you've never been there. You know you're the last one in Roswell who hasn't ever had the pleasure of enjoying the chef's Faux Gras, Cantham Coden Cocotte and various other French dishes, right? Well, you are ... and you're lucky Roswell Patch is here for you, so that you can right the wrong you've been living with all these years, and take that long-suffering significant other to dine here, before your "table for two, please!" turns into "I'll just eat at the bar and watch the game, thanks."

408 S Atlanta St.; 770-641-9131 (Yes, there is another Sugo location, but Roswell Patched picked this one as one of our suggestions because we think it has more charm and romantic atmosphere than the location on W. Crossville Rd.)

Payments accepted: MasterCard, Discover, Visa, Cash, Diner's Club, American Express

Why you should go: Because the marriage of Greek and Italian flavors was never so tasty. Seriously. One taste of the Meatball al Sugo, Braised Pork, Roman Chicken Cacciatore and Eggplant Montasio, or the dish that put this restaurant on the map -- Sugo Three Tenors -- will have you reminiscing about that amazing Mediterranean honeymoon where the two of you walked hand-in-hand as you enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets. And then, of course, comes the moment when you'll realize that the romantic scene playing on an endless loop in your brain was actually from your first honeymoon, rather than the most recent one. Probably best to just keep eating bite after delicious bite, so the odds of saying something out loud that would ruin the romantic vibe are reduced.

952 Canton St.; 770-998-4850

Payments accepted: MasterCard, Personal Check (!), Visa, Cash, American Express

Why you should go: This is the place that draws a great crowd even on days when every other restaurant has empty tables and a bored serving staff... and there are definitely reasons for that. Simply put, the food is fantastic, and a pretty darned good value for the money, compared to a few of the other restaurants you have to choose from. The menu is equal parts comfort food, fine dining and pub fare, but it really works at Salt Factory. Plus, if you want to just hang out at the bar after dinner, it's the place to see and be seen in downtown Roswell. Be warned, though -- there are only 15 tables, so getting there early -- or late -- will be the key that unlocks your true love's heart. An added bonus is that you can take a stroll after dinner down the quaint streets of downtown Roswell.

11235 Alpharetta Hwy.; 678-330-1218

Payments accepted: MasterCard, Discover, Visa, Cash, American Express

Why you should go: Two words: belly dancers. Okay, okay -- they serve food too...and to be sure, the food is absolutely outstanding -- as many times as Roswell Patch has eaten here, it has never left the establishment disappointed. Veranda's menu, which you can see by clicking here, is so fabulously and authentically Greek, you'll think you've just dined in one of the best restaurants on the island of Corfu. Plus, there are belly dancers. But back to the menu... everything served in phyllo is so melt-in-your-mouth delicious, you'll need to create your own alphabet in order to describe the epicurious joy. Veranda's mousaka, various lamb dishes and servings of flaming cheese will leave you feeling like you could go out and create your own city-state. The atmosphere is dark and cozy, the bartenders serve amazing martinis, and did Roswell Patch mention the belly dancers? Opa!

Happy -- and delicious -- Valentine's Day, Roswell!
