Record Lows Burst Pipes at Riverwood Apartments

Record lows in the metro-area caused several pipes to burst at the Riverwood Apartment complex on Holcomb Bridge Road.

Damage to units in the way of soaked sheetrock and carpet has been reported to the main office by residents, said a Riverwood spokesperson. She could not say the exact number of units damaged or residents affected, though she did say that the damage was not extensive. Complex staff is busy answering those maintenance calls and repairing the damage as it comes in.

The burst is blamed on the extreme weather conditions and the fact the complex is 30 years-old.
