Roswell Under Red Flag Warning, Snow Expected

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or will occur within 24 hours, according to the NWS.

Roswell is included in a Red Flag Warning through 8 p.m. issued by the National Weather Service out of Peachtree City.

The affected area for the Red Flag Warning is for much of north and east Georgia. The NWS reports, low relative humidity and strong winds will lead to dangerous fire conditions.

The weather forecast for the remainder of the day is calling for mostly sunny skies with the high around 48 and winds from the west around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight a 20 percent chance of snow and sleet after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northwest in the evening.

On Friday there's a chance of snow before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., followed by a chance of rain after 11 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 54. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent with new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
