Early Morning Smash & Grab at Foot Locker on Metropolitan Pkwy - Cascade Patch

Early morning thieves targeted the Foot Locker located in the 2600 block of Metropolitan Parkway on Monday morning for a "smash & grab" using a stolen Dodge to break their way into the store and steal as much as possible.

The crash into the front glass of the store occurred at approximately 3 a.m., Monday morning.  According to a report in the AJC, more than a dozen criminals ran into the store after the vehicle broke open an entrance way. .

UGA Police Release Sketch from Attempted Assault - Atlanta Journal Constitution

Police have released a sketch of the man who threatened to rape a 19-year-old UGA student as she walked the Georgia Botanical Gardens in Athens, according to the AJC. Tommy Rutledge, firefighters were dispatched around 10 p.m. to a split-level home off the 5800 block of Dana Drive, between Williams Road and Rockbridge Road in unincorporated Norcross.
