Brian Hansford Wins Roswell Municipal Court Judge Race

Brian Hansford, who has served as the city's municipal court judge since 2007, was elected to the post in the July 22 general primary runoff race.

Roswell voters have chosen attorney Brian Hansford to continue serving as the city's municipal court judge.

Unofficial results show voters elected Hansford in the July 22 general primary runoff election, defeating challenger and fellow attorney Melanie Ellwanger with a sizable margin. 

Hansford won the runoff with 59 percent, or 3,554 votes compared to Ellwanger's 41 percent, or 2,497 votes.

Both Ellwanger and Hansford advanced to the runoff from the May 20 general primary, edging out challengers John Monroe and Leslie Donaho. 

Hansford has served as a Roswell municipal court judge since 2007.

Hansford is a partner at Cumming-based Patterson & Hansford. Along with the city of Roswell, he also serve as the municipal court judge for the cities of Alpharetta and Milton.
