Final Roswell Election Debate is Tuesday

The candidates will appear at the RoswellNEXT event at the High Meadows School.

This is the last week of advance voting in Roswell for the Nov. 5 municipal elections, and on Tuesday the candidates will gather for a debate for the final time. 

The RoswellNEXT-sponsored event begins at 7 p.m. at the High Meadows School, 1055 Willeo Drive. 

All of the candidates in the three contested Roswell City Council races have accepted an invitation:

  • Post 4: Kent Igleheart – Incumbent; Harvey Smith
  • Post 5: Jerry Orlans – Incumbent, Eric Schumacher
  • Post 6: Nancy Diamond – Incumbent; Kendra Myers Cox

RoswellNEXT will be accepting questions from the public, allowing citizens the opportunity to voice their concerns and participate in the debate. If you would like to submit a question for the debate, please visit: tiny.cc/Roswell2013Election

Each candidate will be given three questions to answer, ranging on civic, social, and economic issues facing Roswell, and each opponent will be allowed a rebuttal.

Advance voting continues through Friday this week at City Hall. 

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. There will be no advance voting on Monday, Nov. 4.
