RoswellNEXT to Hold Final Election Debate

Tuesday's event will take place at the High Meadows School.

RoswellNEXT, a newly formed group of young professionals, will sponsor the final debate in the upcoming municipal elections.  

The debate is scheduled for next Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. at the High Meadows School, 1055 Willeo Drive. 

All of the candidates in the three contested Roswell City Council races have accepted an invitation:

  • Post 4: Kent Igleheart – Incumbent; Harvey Smith
  • Post 5: Jerry Orlans – Incumbent, Eric Schumacher
  • Post 6: Nancy Diamond – Incumbent; Kendra Myers Cox

RoswellNEXT will be accepting questions from the public, allowing citizens the opportunity to voice their concerns and participate in the debate. If you would like to submit a question for the debate, please visit: tiny.cc/Roswell2013Election

Each candidate will be given three questions to answer, ranging on civic, social, and economic issues facing Roswell, and each opponent will be allowed a rebuttal.

Advance voting continues through Friday this week and Monday-Friday of next week at City Hall. 

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. There will be no advance voting on Monday, Nov. 4.
