12th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival

Chattahoochee Riverkeeper is gearing up for the return of its popularBack to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival, which takes place June 14, 2014 in Roswell.

The community will enjoy live music and array of exhibits that include local artisans and farmer’s market vendors. The free festival takes place 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Riverside Park.

Music lineup includes: headliners Sol Driven Train, blues-rock guitar legend Tommy Talton and Roswell-based Music Matters "Rock U" Bands.

Children will be treated to Frisbee dog demonstrations, face painting, balloon artists, and more. The eight-mile paddle race, which begins at 9 a.m. from Garrard Landing Park, includes competitive and recreational categories.

As a special treat for racers only, paddlers will be greeted at the end of the course by the SweetWater Beer Barge. Race pre-registration ends June 6.
