The Off Broadway Kids Musical Theatre Troupe Audition

The troupe will audition the 2013-2014 troupe on August 17 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Studio Theater at Off-Broadway for ages 8-17. You will need to prepare 16 bars of music and come prepared to dance and read from the script. The show will be produced the first 2 weekends in February and this group will attend the National Performing Arts Festival in Disney World on February 24-27 and perform a 20 minute selection from the show.
There is a $585.00 participation fee for the troupe and there are fees for the trip to Disney World that run about $1100.00 to $1200 dollars per person.
The OBD Kids is a nationally recognized, professional training program that has produced north Georgia’s top performing talent since 2002. Alumni of the OBD kids have been Shuler Hensley Award winners, awarded scholarships to Emerson, Cincinnati Music Conservatory, Florida State and Oklahoma State University and featured performers at the Georgia Theater conferences and Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program winners. This is a 7 month commitment that focuses in on the triple threat performer who wants to develop a strong base on which a career can be built in the Theater industry.
