Aladdin and City Lights, presented by the Atlanta Dance Theatre

Atlanta Dance Theatre, and Artistic Director, Jonnie Kelley, announce their spring show – an engaging performance in two distinctly different parts: “Aladdin” and “City Lights”.

The curtain opens to the ballet adventure, “Aladdin”, interpreted and choreographed by ADT Associate Director, Shelley Grames. As the story unfolds, you’ll be transported to a kingdom in the Far East, ruled by a gracious sultan and his beautiful daughter, Jasmine. However, all is not as it seems. Charming street-urchin, Aladdin, employs his quick wits – and a little help from a Genie - to win the heart and hand of Jasmine. Your entire family will delight in the dazzling costumes, amazing dance talent and enchanting tale of good winning out over evil.

Following intermission, the spotlight shifts to “City Lights”, featuring live original music performed by major-label recording artist, Nick. This exclusive urban dance experience is a true artistic collaboration showcasing Atlanta Dance Theatre dancers, select Atlanta choreographers, and Nick - debuting his “City Lights” EP. Nick’s YouTube channel has captured over 1 million views, and he has been featured in Jezebel Magazine, WE Network, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Fox Good Morning Atlanta and CBS Better Mornings Atlanta, as well as scoring a #1 record on Hot 105.7 Montgomery, AL. Nick is also an accomplished ballet dancer, trained at SAB, and dancing internationally with Kirov Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Atlanta Opera, Carolina Ballet, and many more. Nick recently appeared with ADT in The Nutcracker, Land of Sweets, and is featured as Aladdin in the opening segment of this dual performance. Bring your friends and family to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and enjoy the show!
