Atlanta Balalaika Society Concert: "From the Volga to the Chattahoochee"

The Atlanta Balalaika Society will present a concert of Russian and Gypsy folk music, song and dance on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St., Roswell, GA 30075. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling (404) 292-7176, with a credit card at www.atlantabalalaika.com, or in the lobby with check or cash one hour prior to the performance. Adult tickets are $20, students and seniors $18, and children 12 years and under are $7.  The concert will feature the dance duo of Valentina Kvasova and Boulat Moukhametov, and vocalist Irina Zagornova, all of whom perform with the Barynya Russian dance and music ensemble. T he Atlanta Balalaika Society will perform with domra virtuoso Angelina Galashenkova-Reed, bayan soloist Alla Melnik, oboist Arlene Lathrop, John Huston on guitar,  and balalaika soloist, David C. Cooper.
