Carole Townsend Book Signing "Red Lipstick and Clean Underwear"

Carole Townsend Author, columnist and humorist will
be holding a book signing for  her second book, “Red Lipstick and Clean Underwear,” on December 8, 2012 at Peerless Books Located at 8465 Holcomb Bridge Rd Alpharetta Ga 30022 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The book, which is anchored in dozens of face-to-face interviews between Townsend and women from across the U.S., takes an openly honest, bluntly humorous and cuttingly poignant look at the advice women were handed as young women from their mothers, grandmother, aunts and familyfriends. Does the advice even apply in the lives of real women in a very different world than our mothers understood? The answers are found in the pages of the book, along with some questions and ideas for readers to mull about the complicated life of a woman. “Red Lipstick and Clean Underwear” is already being lauded as a great book club find, opening up “honest and fun” discussions about “women, where we’ve been, where we are now and where we’re headed.” (Tana Suggs, Editor, Suwanee Magazine in
GA)
.

“Love the book! It brought back so many mother/daughter memories. Red Lipstick and Clean Underwear had us laughing, reminiscing and reveling in our Womanhood.”  (Vikki Locke, Host, B985 morning radio show Atlanta, GA.)

"Red Lipstick and Clean Underwear,” written in the honest, funny style for which Townsend has become well known, officially released Oct. 15, 2012. The book is available on Amazon, through Barnes and Noble’s website, in independent book stores and through the website www.lipstickandundies.com.
