Watch the next generation of great musicians establish their place in musical history! You won't want to miss our annual Samuel Fordis Young Artists Concerto Competition Showcase, featuring the top five outstanding young artists of the 35 who competed. In the Apprentice category winner, 12-year-old violinist Haeun Kim performs the Lalo Symphony Espagnole. The Artisan category winner, 17-year-old violinist Ilya Kim, and the Virtuoso category winner, 19-year-old Hally Davidson (who you may have heard on NPR's From The Top), will each perform a Carmen Fantasy (one by Sarasate and one by Borne). We are also featuring Artisan and Virtuoso laureates Erin Pitts (14) and Daniela Volkovinsky (20) playing the Stamitz Viola Concerto in D Major and Reinecke Concerto for Flute and Orchestra respectively. This is our most popular concert of the season. We recommend advance ticket purchase or arriving early. There will be a reception following the concert with jazz provided by the After Hours Quintet (with members of the Georgia Philharmonic). Tickets are available on the Gerogia Philharmonic web site.
