The Six String Social Club opens it's 11th annual concert season with GRAMMY® Award-winning acoustic guitarist Ed Gerhard on Saturday, February 8, 2013. From sold out tours of Japan to headlining festivals in Italy, Ed Gerhard's music has touched concert audiences all over the world. Gerhard stands out among instrumental performers for his ability to captivate audiences with virtuosity, generosity and humor. Known for his gorgeous tone and compositional depth, Gerhard can move a listener with a single note. The location of the concert is Ragamuffin Music Hall, 585 S. Atlanta St., Roswell, GA.

Gerhard returns to Roswell for his ninth visit celebrating the highly anticipated release of his new CD "There and Gone." a collection of original compositions and covers including a stunning arrangement of "Imagine/Across the Universe," "I'm so lonesome I Could Cry" and a concert favorite on Weissenborn, "Killing the Blues." Performing on six string guitar and Hawaiian lap steel, Gerhard combines rare compositional depth with inspired virtuosity. Fans of guitar music will not want to miss this opportunity to see and hear one of the country's finest players.

Gerhard has been awarded the coveted GRAMMY® Award for his inclusion on Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar. Gerhard arranged and performed "Moon River." His recordings and performances have received unstinting praise, including the Boston Glove Critics' Pick for "Top Ten Albums of the Year." Acoustic Guitar Magazine writes "...his recordings and live performances have established him as one of the most exciting of the guitar-composers." Ken Burns featured his music in his documentary "Mark Twain" and "The National Parks: America's Best Idea."
