Tree and Forest Folklore Hike

In autumn, the many vibrant colors of the woodland canopy delight and inspire us.  Join Horticulturalist Lisa Cole in an evening journey through our illuminated woodland trails.  This program will teach you to identify common species in our region, as well as give insight into the Spirit of the Trees.  Topics cover Celtic and American folklore, medicinal properties, and the surprising associations with Hobbits and Winnie the Pooh.  Wrap up the evening with marshmallows at the campfire and enjoy plant-infused teas and more.  Come enjoy your picnic dinner on the grounds as early as 6pm, hike starts promptly at 7pm.  Advance Registration Required by November 6 to scheduling@chattnaturecenter.org or 770-992-2055 x237 - $15 General Public/$10 CNC Members.
