Foster Care Support Foundation to Get a Helping Hand

The Foster Care Support Foundation in Roswell will get a lift on Saturday from local professional organizers, who will volunteer to sort through clothes, toys and other items at the organization's distribution center at 115 Mansell Place. 

The volunteer effort will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: 

- Sort clothing, size or restock the center for easy selection by foster children
- Sort toys and make sure all pieces are there (puzzles, games, etc)
- Load bags of clothing and toys and bikes into foster parents cars on appointment days
- Check incoming cribs, strollers and infant equipment to make sure they are safe for distribution  
- Fill orders for children living too far away to come themselves, pack & get them ready to ship.

Foster Care is a non-profit that distributes free clothes, education and play toys, safe infant-care equipment and books to thousands of Georgia foster children that live in foster homes statewide.

The Foundation provided more than $10,000,000 of in kind goods to children on a shoe string budget that is just a bit over $500,000 last year, less than needed but they made it work. All this with no government funding.
