Seniors Organization to Honor Major Roswell Employer

Kimberly-Clark Corp., a major employer in Roswell, will be the subject of honors at Senior Services North Fulton's annual fundraising benefit.

Kimberly-Clark Corp., with many of its divisions located in Roswell, the Sandy Springs Society and Meals on Wheels volunteer Ray Doan will be honored at "Open Hearts for Seniors" on Feb. 8, 2014. The event being held at The Atlanta Athletic Club from 6:30-11 p.m. will be a fundraiser for Senior Services North Fulton.

Kaiser Permanente, the presenting sponsor, will be host the evening in Johns Creek.

"We are honored to be able to support Open Hearts for Seniors," said Carole Gardner, M.D., chief of elder care at Kaiser Permanente of Georgia. "Each day, we strive to help people of all ages lead healthier, more active lifestyles."

Seniors Services North Fulton leaders say Kimberly-Clark has been a wonderful corporate partner for many years providing generous financial, in-kind, and volunteer support to help them carry their our mission. Kimberly-Clark associates also help at events and deliver Meal On Wheels to clients.

The Sandy Spring Society, a longtime supporter of Senior Services, has been instrumental in helping sustain the Transportation Options Program for seniors through its grant making.

Ray Doan is a Meals On Wheels volunteer who also gives countless hours to support the annual fundraiser.

 “Our Open Hearts for Seniors theme reminds us of our compassionate volunteers, community partners, board members and staff who work tirelessly to meet the needs of older adults in our community. The event gives us an opportunity to thank all who have helped us this past year and raise much needed financial support for the organization,” said Carrie Bellware, Senior Services North Fulton’s executive director.

“Senior Services relies on donations from individuals, corporations and grantors to support our programs, and the demand for our services is greater than ever before,” continued William Wideman, Senior Services North Fulton’s Board Chair.

Event attendees will be treated to a champagne reception, formal dinner, and dancing to the live music of Grapevine. Hand-held bidding device technology will be used for the auction, thanks to QuestCare Systems, the event's technology sponsor.  Individual admission is $125. A reserved table for 10 guests is $1,000.
