Frugal Family: Discounted Gift Cards Perfect for Holidays

This list of retailers that will offer discounted gift cards will save you money on your shopping for the holidays and for your own family expenses.

Gift cards are always welcome gifts during the holidays. But, there is no rule that says that if you buy a gift card, you have to give it away. When retailers offer deals like these, it is often smart for people to buy them for themselves to use through out the year as well. This will not only save you money, but will give you the feeling that you are getting a free meal or shopping trip in future months since they are already paid for.

Just a word of warning: Watch out for expiration dates on these gift cards. Some stores and restaurants in particular have had expiration dates one year after purchase, so you'd want to make sure the gift card has no more money on it than you-or the person to whom you give the card-would spend in that time.
