If you've got a kid whose Christmas list is basically a Lego catalog, you won't want to miss the 2011 Lego My Honda Giant Cityscape display at on Alpharetta Highway.
Created by Atlanta business owner and Lego enthusiast Harry Nijenkamp and his son Austin, the display is over 15 feet tall and contains over 500,000 Legos, including 1,500 mini figures. Construction took over 500 hours and features Atlanta points of interest such as the Dragon*Con parade, downtown buildings, and an oriental garden.
The exhibit is free of charge at Honda Carland, located at 11085 Alpharetta Highway in Roswell. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m, now through January 10 and excluding Christmas Day. A scavenger hunt is available for sharp-eyed kids to find familiar figures such as Santa Claus, the characters of Star Wars and Aladdin.
