Dream Big and Go For It!

I would venture to say that most entrepreneurs are dreamers. Having always been a dreamer myself I have learned that not all dreams become reality. But it sure is fun to dream really big and really wild, especially when it comes to business. Freskos Media was a dream long before it was a reality. I would have to say that even now parts of it that are coming into focus are still dreams that are becoming a reality. This past couple of weeks I have been working on recording training for DVDs that will be available.

What Does Dreaming Have to Do with Growing My Business?

EVERYTHING! Yes I had to yell that so that you could hear me. The fact that you are running a business or starting a business or businesses means that at one point you had dreamed about doing just that! If you haven’t started your business then you are still in the dreaming phase of you business. So get to it! Make your dream a reality!

With running a business we have to come up with different ways to run the business, grow the business, make the business run smoother and market the business. Which I think is why I love marketing so much, I can take a dream, apply some science to it, then watch it become a reality. I like gardening for those same reasons, but that is a whole other story in itself.

What are you doing to dream about or for your business? Are you stuck? Are you stagnant in your business? Start dreaming! Think about what it would take to pull you out from where you are today!

Can I let you in on a little secret?

I make all of my goals this way, all major goals that is. Sitting down and thinking about what major change I want to happen, then I set the goal of X amount of new business. From there I think about what my business would look like with that much more business than it does now. I think about what kind of support I would need in place and when I would need that support. Then I set the goal of X amount of dollars per month that I think it would take to get there. Then working backwards I figure out all the places that I need to make changes in order to make that dream become a reality! I get excited thinking about all the possibilities, I am excited now and I am not even dreaming, just the thought of it gets my brain racing.

Take 15 minutes today and think about what you want out of your business that would make a big impact on it and others. Then work your way backwards with everything that you would need in order to make that dream become a reality. What difference could that make in your business if you started dreaming more and setting more goals? Now I have to tell you that I am a big fan of the secret, but I won’t get into that here. Because dreaming is something we all can and should do. We should all be dreaming weekly so that we can see outside of our current situation.
