Do Shoes reflect our Sole?

Do shoes reflect our Sole?

While watching CNN last week, I saw a segment on women and their shoes.  First of all, shoes are a BIG deal to most women so I suppose this is why it made national news.  The question being posed was the percentage of women who would chose style and at times, discomfort of a high heel to those who prefer comfort to style. It made me think if the many episodes of Sex in the City and Carrie's addiction to shoes.  Quite honestly, many of my friends (including me) fit into this category!  I cannot tell you how many times I have bought shoes, had NOTHING to wear with them, however had to purchase an outfit JUST to wear them!  How many of you have done this with a great pair of earrings, scarf or necklace and had to shop for an outfit to go WITH that accessory?  Sounds backwards, doesn't it? SHOES DO MAKE THE OUTFIT! So, is a shoe addiction for only the highest of heels or do flats and oxfords count?

As I thought about which type of shoe, I thought about how a good outfit can make the outfit a spectacular one, with the right shoe, flat or not.  Honestly, I have found that men are also addicted to women's shoes and pay closer attention to what shoes we choose, closely.  I think shoes reflect our personality, mood and what is going on in our lives; a "sole" compass of sorts.

I believe the same goes for men - ladies, have you ever heard to pay attention to a man's shoes - tells a lot about that man.  How he sees himself and what he spends his money on or not - if his shoes are polished, is he?

We all want to look our best, wear what fits our budget, lifestyle, mood and event to hopefully, not hurt our feet too much or for long of a period of time. We all know who we are and who wears shoes which pinch toes and bunyons (or creates them) or those who prefer a more comfortable fit (cowboy boots count too) to express ourselves. So all I have to say "if the shoe fits, wear it".
