Obituary: Green B, Clark, Jr.

Clark retired from Allstate Insurance in 1988.

The following is an obituary submitted by Northside Chapel Funeral Directors & Crematory:

Green B Clark Jr., dedicated husband & father, passed away after a long illness on Aug. 16. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS and moved to Roswell in 1966.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1949. G.B. graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Education with a minor in History, and retired from Allstate Insurance in 1988. He was a longtime member of Roswell United Methodist Church, and more recently First United Methodist Church of Ellijay. 

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Ann Pringle Clark, sister Sadie Barron of Hattiesburg, daughter and son-in-law Lynn and Hal Coleman of Roswell, son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Kathy Clark of Ellijay, and son and daughter-in-law Charles and Tracey Clark of Ball Ground, daughter-in-law Ellen Clark of Woodstock, seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his oldest son Green B. Clark III of Hubbard, Ohio. 

A celebration service will be held at Roswell United Methodist Church in the chapel at 3 p.m. Monday Aug. 19. Visitation will precede the service from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the church parlor. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs.
