Obituary: Rose Karwisch, 95

Ms. Karwisch will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park.

Rose Eugenia Karwisch, 95, of Alpharetta, passed away June 30.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 59 years, Henry Jacques “Jack” Karwisch; her sister, “Bebe” Blackwood; brother-in-law, Ned Blackwood, and her parents, Grace and Grover Cooper.

She is survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Karwisch, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and Emily Brown, of Warner Robins; brother-in-law, Bill Karwisch, of Fairburn; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Rose and Jack adored their 59+ years of marriage together. Their devoted service to Alpharetta First United Methodist Church began in 1963. Rose was the secretary to former pastor Dr. Hal Brady and she was a member of Fidelis Class, “54 or More”, Jubilation Choir, and Mary Nallie Circle.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Don Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Graveside services for the family will be held at Arlington Memorial Park. Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to Alpharetta United Methodist Church, 69 N. Main Street Alpharetta, GA 30004.
