Roswell's Bryan Gene Hensley Dies

Hensley will be laid to rest Saturday, March 30 at Green Lawn Cemetery following a funeral in Cumming.

Roswell resident Bryan Gene Hensley, 55, died Tuesday, March 26.

Hensley, an avid golfer, was the superintendent at River Pines Golf Course in Johns Creek. In his free time, he spent countless hours molding wood and metal to create beautiful pieces that were cherished by family and friends. 

Born in Asheville, NC, and a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church, Hensley was the son of the late C. Gene and Annabelle Hensley.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Christine Hensley of Atlanta; fiancé, Kristy Thompson of Cumming; brothers, Joe Hensley of Sugar Hill and Scott Hensley of Woodstock; sister, Teresa McDaniel of Grayson; Erica’s mother, Teresa Summers Hensley of Newnan; and an extended loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Cumming First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m.–noon at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bryan’s memory to the TWC Family Room at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, c/o Renee Fraley, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA  30329.
