Chloe Needs a Second Chance

Chloe is spayed, housebroken and up-to-date on her shots, but this sweet girl's story will make you cry.

Poor, sweet Chloe has been featured here at Patch before, but sadly, she’s still at the shelter almost two months later. I was there the day Chloe was brought to the shelter by her owner of four years. The poor girl was scared to death and continues to be nervous about her surroundings. I can’t say I blame her.

Chloe is very sweet and gets along well with humans and other dogs. This Pointer is also one of the softest dogs you’ll ever touch. Did I mention she’s absolutely gorgeous? Chloe is spayed, housebroken and up-to-date on all shots, which should make her a great, easy-going companion. This poor girl just wants another shot at a happy life with a loving family. Can you help her out?

If you’re interested in adopting this dog, please visit the at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. The Douglas County Animal Shelter can be reached by calling 770-942-5961. To learn about other animals available for adoption from the Douglas County Animal Control, view their adoptable pet list.
