Daisy Deserves a Second Chance

Daisy is a pretty girl who is looking for a new family.

When you first see Daisy, you’ll notice what a pretty girl she is. The Husky/Shepherd mix is solid white with piercing eyes and a curly tail. However, when you get to know her, you’ll quickly learn that she’s just as sweet as she can be. Daisy minds well and seems to get along with other dogs and people. Sadly, she was turned in by her previous family because she could get out of their chain-link fence.

Can you provide Daisy with a second chance and better accommodations? She is a great girl who deserves a great family that will love her and take good care of her for the rest of her life.

If you’re interested in adopting Daisy, please visit the at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. The Douglas County Animal Shelter can be reached by calling 770-942-5961. To learn about other animals available for adoption from the Douglas County Animal Control, view their adoptable pet list.

Just got an email from someone who tells me they are in the process of adopting Miss Daisy. She is going to a great home in Alabama!
