Roswell Police are looking for a white male in his 20s.

An attempted robbery of a Barrington Farms resident returning home from the store on Tuesday, Jan. 15, has the local community shaken up and on guard.

"The victim said she was unloading groceries from her car in her garage. On her second trip, the suspect appeared in the garage with a handgun and demanded money," said Holland.

In a post by the victim on several local home owner association message boards, she said:

"I tried to give him my ATM card, but I did not have any cash...He really wanted me to get into my car and drive him to the ATM, but I knew that was not a good idea. Finally, I grabbed my ATM card and tried to give it to him."

Sometime during the altercation, the suspect's gun fell onto the garage floor and cracked.

She wrote:

"I told him I was not going anywhere, and that I thought he had a fake gun. I believe he got nervous when I called his 'bluff,' so he ran off not taking my ATM card."

The suspect ran away towards Cranberry Place, said Holland. Police searched the area and the Greenway, but didn't find the suspect.

According to the police and the victim, the suspect is a white male in his early 20’s. He was wearing jeans, a sweatshirt, a black jacket with a hood and a red, white, and green scarf covering his face. Call the Roswell Police if you have any information regarding his identity, 770-640-4100.
