Jones took to Twitter to explain what happened, and his girlfriend also posted the accompanying photo on the social media outlet:
- Lol. Tried to do my daily chores and cleaned out the fireplace. Went and dumped the ashes. Alls good right? Nope. Set the woods on fire! Ugh
- I got firefighters all over my place! Thank you Roswell Fire Dept.
Last fall, Jones put the 23,000-square foot home in the Glenayre in Roswell community up for sale for more than $3 million.
Earlier this month he announced he would be moving his family to the Texas ranch run by his parents.
Not surprisingly, Wednesday's events drew some national media attention.
