Now is your chance to start a great law enforcement career at MARTA. On Saturday, April 12, 2014, MARTA will host a job fair to find team-oriented, customer-focused individuals to join the transit agency’s police department.
“Protecting the ninth largest transit agency in the country is an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience,” said MARTA Police Chief Wanda Dunham in a news release. “The agency’s police department has received numerous national accolades for its performance standards and our officers routinely receive exceptional training to safely protect the customer, the community and the public transit system. We are excited to grow our ranks with qualified, dedicated and customer-focused individuals and we want everyone to know we are hiring.”
MARTA will offer on-site interviews for open police positions during the event which will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the MARTA Headquarters, 2424 Piedmont Road N.E., Atlanta, GA 30324.
MARTA Headquarters is located across the street from the Lindbergh Center Station. Applicants are asked to bring the following documents: high school diploma, college degree or transcripts, birth certificate, Social Security card, Driver’s License, DD 214 Form (military discharge, if applicable) and a 7-year Motor Vehicle Report.
Professional/business attire is required at the job fair. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and are required to pass all future tests related to the position including a background investigation to include a criminal history records check, polygraph examination and credit check. They must also pass a physical examination including drug/alcohol screening, psychological testing and possess a valid drivers’ license.
