Police Make Drug Arrests After Shots Fired

Two men are charged after investigation uncovered four pounds of marijuana, LSD, mushrooms and chemicals used to make meth.

Two men have been arrested on drug charges stemming from the discovery of a large amount of narcotics Thursday night in Roswell.

Roswell Police spokesman Lt. James H. McGee said in a press release early Friday afternoon that Joshua Michael Morris, 21, of Roswell, and Killian Casey Wilkerson, 22, of Cumming, were arrested after police found the drugs at 205 E. Crossville Road.

Police found four pounds of marijuana, more 500 various pills, undisclosed amounts of LSD and psilocybin mushrooms, and chemicals used in methamphetamine production.

Also found were two hand guns and $7,000 in cash.

According to the press release, police responded to a report of shots fired near the residence shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

During their investigation, officers heard another shot and determined it came from the area near 205 E. Crossville Road.

“On making contact with a resident a strong odor of marijuana was noticed by the officer,” Lt. McGee said in the press release. “During additional questioning enough information was obtained and a search warrant was issued.”

Morris was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and Wilkerson with possession of less than one-ounce of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

McGee said these are preliminary charges. The investigation continues.

McGee said the meth-making chemicals found had not been mixed and there was no evidence of meth production, but the GBI was called in to clean up the area as a precaution.
