Roswell Men Arrested in Milton Shooting Death

A CrimeStoppers tip and a description of the vehicle used by the men helped police identify the suspects in the fatal shooting of Christopher Walker earlier this month.

Two Roswell men and an Alpharetta man have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Christopher Walker on March 12 outside his Milton home.  

Milton police, with the assistance of the Roswell and Alpharetta police departments and North Fulton SWAT, made the arrests after obtaining warrants against the three men on Tuesday, March 26. The three men were arrested overnight March 27 and 28:

  • Matthew Allen Goins, 20, of Alpharetta;
  • Michael Denay Grant, 23, of Roswell, and;
  • Richard Bernard Davidson, 20, of Roswell

They are all in Fulton County Jail without bond.

The three suspects were charged with murder, aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery. Davidson also was charged with possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  

Walker, an Alpharetta High School graduate, was shot once in the head just before 7:30 p.m. in the driveway of his Silhouette Court home. He was transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital, where he died.

Officers believe the suspects targeted Walker because of his gold chain and followed him from an Alpharetta Taco Bell to his home.

Leads in the case came through the and officers were able to locate the suspects based on a description of the car used in the crime. A reward had been offered in the case.
