Roswell Officer, Local Residents Participate in Bataan Memorial Death March

In honor of military who lost their lives during WWII, local residents paid tribute through the 23rd Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico.

The high dessert terrain of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico is about as opposite as it gets from Roswell, but five local residents recently trekked the terrain for the 23rd Annual Bataan Memorial Death March, in memory of the military service members who lost their life defending the Philippine Islands during World War II.

Roswell Police Officer Trevor Primo, Pete Pukish, Eugene du Plessis, Lucas Von Esh and George Wells completed the challenging and physically intense event during March. The group - known as Team Satoria - selected the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which supports the families of fallen and wounded special operations military personnel, as the charity it funded by participating in the event.
