A condensed list of incidents within the city last week.

The following arrest information was supplied by Roswell Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

-Queen of Angels Catholic School staff called Roswell Police Friday, Aug. 5 when they discovered two iPads were missing from a secure vault that has limited access.

Staff told police that the area was left unattended while workers from outside the school came in to service some equipment. The device serial numbers were forwarded to Apple and police are still investigating the matter.

-A Willow Springs couple were startled by a visit from Roswell Police  on Friday, Aug. 5 when officers responded to a burglary in progress call at the home just after 11 p.m.

Roswell Dispatch had advised officers that AT&T had received a teletype from a hearing impaired person saying that “four black males were in her home and that two had pistols.”

Once the couple - who came to the front door when officers arrived - were escorted away from the residence they advised the officers that they had not placed any such call and that they were the only two people at home. A sweep of the house by police confirmed their story.

Police determined it was a false reporting of a crime and don’t have any suspects in the case.
