Roswell Police Complete Leadership Development Course

The first batch of Roswell Police officers just recently completed their first Leadership Development course offered by the city.

The Roswell Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of 31 officers from the first Roswell Police Leadership Development Class.

The course material was created from research by the Behavioral Science Unit at the U. S. Military Academy at West Point and is based upon the premise that ‘Every Officer is a Leader’. Participants are taught the ‘Leader Thought Process’ to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the situation, identification of the problem, opportunity, or decision to be made; response to address the area of concern, and evaluation of the response.

Because the course relies upon a facilitated instructional style, individuals are required to actively participate in class discussions and work groups as well as complete exercises that are designed facilitate the application of course material.
