Attempted Rape Suspect Sought

The suspect is believed to have suffered multiple stab wounds and may seek help from a hospital.

Roswell Police is looking for a man who tried to rape a 15-year-old girl early Sunday morning.

Isauro Hernandez-Acosta, 30, is suspected of attacking his girlfriend’s daughter around 5:30 a.m. at the Crossings at Woodbridge Apartments located off Old Holcomb Bridge Way in Roswell.

Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police said as he tried to allegedly rape the teenager, the girl screamed, her mother heard her and rushed in to fend off the boyfriend. The mother did so by cutting and stabbing him several times with a knife.

Police believe the suspect fled on foot from the apartment complex, as he does not have a vehicle. Police also believe he may show up at a hospital with multiple stab injuries.

Hernandez-Acosta, who is wanted for attempted rape and aggravated assault to commit rape, is 5 foot and 7 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts or if you have seen him is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS.
