Roswell Police Offers Self-Defense Course for Women

The police department will teach a two-hour course designed to equip women with basic self-defense skills.

Women in the city of Roswell will soon be able to take advantage of a self-defense course offered by the city's Police Department.

The agency's officers will teach the two-hour, S.A.F.E. (Self-Defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange) for Women program, which is designed to introduce basic self-defense skills to girls women ages 14 and older.  

The class will start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Bill Johsnon Community Activities Building.

Residents can register for the class through Roswell Recreation & Parks Department. The cost is $6 for residents and $9 non-residents.
